Dope Fit Chick of the Week!

I am a woman who relishes in the smallest moments of life. I love to read, dance on occasion, support other women, crack corny jokes and workout, of course. I am a trainer who specializes in recovery and longevity with your performance. I always find these questions to be so peculiar because there is no wrong way to answer them which means I could keep typing for days 😉. However, it is most important to me that I want to be impactful in others’ lives while continuing to strive in my own life. We rise better when we do it together, respectively.

What motivates you to workout and live a healthy lifestyle?

My kids. The drive comes from knowing I will be able to not only be around them to play with them for a long time, I also believe that the health habits we teach them are

What does your workout routine look like?

I usually start with a heavy or high volume warmup, then I use a foam roller , then I begin my first series of workouts. I include agility drills, yoga, Pilates, weight training, plyometrics, dance, and HIIT training .

What do you eat in a typical day to stay in shape?

I eat consciously. I never miss a Monday. I understand that ANY way I can move my body is better than not moving my body at all. I also try my best to give myself some grace.

How do you maintain your hair while working out?

Protective 👏🏽 Styles 👏🏽. Bantu knots, braids, etc. Apple cider vinegar helps keep it clean

What's in your gym bag?

Amino acids, water, hair ties, foam roller, tennis ball, extra clothes, almonds, grips, and bubble gum. That’s the usual one, but if I am doing something specific that day, then I’ll change it.

What are your 3 best health tips people can implement right now?

  1. Eat to feel satisfied not to be full.

  2. Walking is the most underrated form of exercise.

  3. Stretch 5 min daily
