A Little About Sylvia:

I have a background in economics but fell in love with fitness and sports while in university when I joined the volleyball team to compete and it has since become a part of me. I love being able to use fitness as a channel to inspire others to reach their fitness goals, prioritize health and wellness and an overall better lifestyle.

What motivates you to workout and live a healthy lifestyle?

My motivation comes from my desire to become the best version of myself in all areas of my life including fitness and being able to influence/ inspire others to pursue their fitness goals. I also take inspiration/motivation from other amazing fitness influencers like @Qui2health who have done nothing but inspire other women especially POC like myself.

What does your workout routine look like?

My workout routine looks different from time to time depending on what my specific goals are at the time. Overall, I mainly train for endurance and performance. My workout split currently includes; two lower body days, two upper body days, one Full body and core day. I take 1-2 rest days a week.

What do you eat in a typical day to stay in shape?

My meals vary depending on my goals at every point in time. Generally, I do try to keep my meals high in protein and carbs and then I add in some healthy fats and vegetables too. I also enjoy fun/junk foods every now and then in moderation

How do you maintain your hair while working out?

I usually just put it up and put a head band around it or leave it alone

What's in your gym bag?

Everyday items in my gym bag include, resistance bands, a water bottle, a spare legging, a protein shake, a tripod and ankle straps

What are your 3 best health tips people can implement right now?

Working out at least three days a week, Eating real food and seeing it as fuel for your body as well as having adequate sleep to help your body recover.
